How to generate backpay amount?

Scenario:

Eg : Employee salary increment in March, how to configure in system to compute the backpay amount and pay in August.


Step1: Setup remuneration with the salary increment date.

Go to Payroll > Payee Data > Salary

1.      Create new salary record with Start date as “1 March”

2.      Set Backpay payment on “31 Aug”

3.      Set the Back Pay Backdated to “1 Mar”

 

Step2: Process the back pay amount

Go to Payroll > Payrun > Special Processing > Back Pay

1.     Process” button will be reflected for the Paygroup pertaining to the employee if there is backpay amount to be processed for the current open period. If "Process" button is not available, click on "Next Period" button to access the relevant period in order to process the backpay amount.       

 

 

 








      2.      Click on “Process” button and system will list down the employee where there is backpay amount to be processed.


3.      Select the employee and click on “Submit”, click on “Back to Previous” screen once the process is run successfully



4.     On the first screen,  the Total number of backpay employee processed will be shown. Click on the Paygroup and go to next screen to see the result.

              


5.      Select the employee by ticking on the check box and click on “Lock”,  followed by “Post to payroll”.


  

6.     Check the Back pay pay period and select the correct Pay run type, select the employee and click on “Submit”.



7.      Once submitted, go to Payroll > Pay run > Variable Data to confirm that the backpay amount has been posted into the employee variable data.

 
Step 3: Process the payslip as per normal.
