Encounter 'Not enough leave balance available for the leave period applied’ when applying leave for next year

Symptoms:

Encountered the error message ‘Not enough leave balance available for the leave period applied’ when employee tries to apply next year leave

 

Possible cause(s):

The staff does not have enough leave balance

 

Suggested workaround / Solution(s):

The system use this year leave balance to check whether the staff can submit leave application for next year leave. To allow the staff to submit leave application when the leave balance is not enough, either :

  1. Leave credit (add credit to the staff, after successfully submitted, deduct / remove credit)    OR
  2. update Advance Leave under Leave Scheme (Note : it will effect all the staffs under the same scheme) 
  3. amend to Yes for allow advance leave under Control Tab,
  4. on the Advance Leave tab, key in the value when the staff will submit the leave application (for example, submit leave on December for 2 days, then put 2 in the December column)
