An employee has rejoined the company and the HR administrator would like to reuse the employee's old ID
Suggested workaround / solution(s):
It is not advisable to reuse an employee ID as it will cause the following issues :
1. The employee's previous employment records will not appear in the Attrition listing as there is no Termination record
2. Tax calculations for other countries payroll, eg Malaysia or Thailand, where taxes are calculated on a monthly basis, will be affected
Alternatively, as a workaround, you may amend the old ID (eg from 123 to 123_R) and create the new employee ID as 123.
